GROUT 60
Free Flow, High Strength, Cementitious Grout

Introduction

GROUT 60 is a pre-mixed cementitious grout with both high early and ultimate strengths. GROUT 60 has excellent flow properites and will not shrink after placing. GROUT 60 is simple to use and only re-quires the addition of water to produce a fluid grout. GROUT 60 is free from corrosive substances. GROUT 60 is a blend of modified special cements, expansion agent, fluidifiers and well-graded aggregrates free from corrosive sub-stances.

ADVANTAGES:
1. Ready to use
2. High early and ultimate strength
3. Non shrink
4. Good flow properties
5. Chloride-free
6. Non ferrous
7. Resistant to oil and water penetration
8. Slight expansion leads to superior bonding to surrounding materials
9. Excellent adhesion

PURPOSE: Ideally suited as a heavy duty grout for ma-chinery, tracks and crane rails where complete filling of voids is needed.
USAGE: One 25 Kg pack of GROUT 60 will yield approximately 13.5 litres of grout
PROPERTIES: In common with other cementitious products, the properties of GROUT 60 depend upon the water : cement ratio used. GROUT 60 will stay pourable for approximately 20 minutes at 20° C, any meterial un-used after this time should be discarded.
GROUT 60 is suitable for use in gap widths of between 10-50mm. For applications below 10mm alternative materials may be used, please contact our Techinical Department for material may be built up on layers not exceeding 50mm. Alternatively, GROUT 60 may be bulked out by the addition of approximately 6kg of 6mm pea-gravel to each bag. This will allow thickness up to 100mm to be achieved in one pour.

AREAS OF USAGE:
1. Machine base plates
2. Columns in pre-cast construction
3. Cavities, gaps and crane rail
4. Bridge bearing pads,Boiler foundations
5. Grouting of stanchion bases struts railings and guard rail assemblies
6. Grouting of tracks and transformers

METHOD OF USE:

1. The substrate should be sound, clean and free from contamination. Concrete and other mineral surfaces should be carefully pre-watted and all surplus water removed prior to the application of GROUT 60.
2. Use oil free compressed air to blow out bolt holes etc. as necessary. Ensure base plates, bolts etc., are clean and free of oil, grease and paint, etc. Set and align equipment-if shield are to be re-moved after the grout has set, then lightly grease them to facilitate easy removal.
3. The GROUT 60 should be mixed with the correct amount of water, preferably by mechanical means, for a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. Do not mix more material then can be used in 20 minutes. The powder should never be poured into still water.
4. The fluid grout should be poured from one and only. ensure that air displaced by the fluid grout is allowed to escape when carrying out base plate grouting Ensure sufficient grout head of pressure is maintained to keep grout flowing about 200mm.
5. After grout is initially set keep the grout damp by covering with polythene or damp hessian.

STORAGE LIFE: GROUT 60 has a shelf life of one year in manufacturer sealed bag stored in dry and shaded condition.
