Heavy Duty Impact and Abrasion Resistive Floor Screed

Introduction

TOPSCREED is supplied as ready to use factory controlled cementinious blended with special non-metallic flooring elected for high abrasion and impact resistance. TOPSCREED is high resistance to abra-sive wear and its grading gives optimum strength and durability to the finished floor. Being non-oxidising and non-metalic chemically inert it does not stain or rust under the effect of moisture and suitable for use where floors are subject to wet processes. TOPSCREED is laid as 10 mm thick topping on fresh concrete or as a topping on existing concrete floors.

Application Guidelines

Any water on the surface of the concrete should be removed or allowed to dry out prior to placing the TOPSCREED. The TOPSCREED mix should be spread evenly over the base concrete to retained thickness (12 mm).

Application of TOPSCREED on existing Concrete floors :
1. Surface preparation of bare conerete: The base concrete must be sound and thoroughly hacted to expose the coarse     aggregate and obtain a sutisfaction key to en-sure alequate bond. Any cracks or areas affected must be cutout. All loose     concrete, mortar droppings or dirt should be removed and the prepared area protected against further contamination prior to     the laying operation. All preparatory work, particularly hacking, must be completed before laying TOPSCREED.
2. TOPSCREED mix should be spread evenly over the base concrete, consolidated and levelled by the use of a heavy straight     edge. Care should be taken at bay edge and corners.
3. Curing : After final trowelling the surface should be cured with water for a period of minimum 7 days.
4. Joints : All expansion Joints shoud filled with suitable Joint sealant.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 25 Kg. bags.
COVERAGE: 25 Kg bag will cover approximately 1.2 m² at the thickness of 10 to 12 mm.

Shelf Life

12 months if kept in original unopened packing, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

PRECAUTIONS: TOPSCREED is mildly alkaline prolonsed contact with skin should be avoided.
