Two Part Expoxy Bonding Agents

Introduction

CONBOND EP is high moulds epoxy adhesive used to permanently bond hardened concrete to fresh concrete, steel to fresh or hardned concrete. It can also be used as grout to anchor bolts, dowels and rebar with addition of graded silica, as a primer for epoxy concrete & mortar.

CONBOND EP is resistant to water & many chemicals. It is unaffected by continued expose to salts, acids, alkalis or solvents. It is a two-part epoxy compound with chemically controlled modulus of elasticity allowing flexibility of movement compatible with concrete.

APPLICABLE STANDARD: ASTM- C 881, Type 2, Grade 2, AASHTO- M- 235-73, IS: 9197.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
1) Pot Life: 45 Minutes at 30°C
2) Application Temperature: 5° to 45°C
3) Concrete Bond: Approx 5N/mm²
4) Viscosity (Mixed): 13.8 Poise at 20°C
5) Tack free time: 3 to 4 hours at 35°C

Application Guidelines

Concrete surface must be clean & sound remove all dust, laitance, grease & other foreign matter by sand blasting, mechanical abrasion or acid etching.
Mix the base & hardner, both components should be thoroughly mixed preferably with a mechanical stirrer until a uniform colour is achieved.
Apply thin, uniform layer with brush, roller or spray. Avoid forming pools or puddles. Place new concrete, grout or screed on the top, when tacky.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 1 kg & 5 kg packing.
COVERAGE: About 30 to 35 Sq.ft per kg depending on surface & texture absorption.

Shelf Life

12 months if stored in sealed company pack in shaded condition.
