HIGH BUILD SOLVENT FREE HIGH CHEMICALS RESISTIVE COATING.

Introduction

SAFE COAT CR is a two pack solvent free epoxy coating based on selected amine resins & suitable hardner. The product even perform & cure's rapidly at low ambient temperature. Adheres well to plastered, concrete & steel surfaces. Product is ideally suited for chemical industries where flooring & side walls deteriorate very fast due chemical & alkaline spillages & atmospheric contamination. The dry film with about 500 to 650 micron thickness is very durable & abrasion resistance & antiskid feature.

APPLICABLE STANDARD: Compiles to IS 9197.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
(1) Pot Life at 30°C. 45 to 60 minutes.
(2) Curing time 20 to 24 hours at 30°C for light foot traffic & 7 days for chemical resistance.
(3) Application temperature 5°C to 40°C
(4) in service - 10°C to 70°C.

Application Guidelines

1) Concrete surface should be minimum 28 days old before application.
2) The surface should be made sound, free from laitance & any contaminations. All potholes, surface cracks should be properly repaired using CONPATCH EM or CONBOND EP PASTE.
3) Than the surface should be primed with Safe Coat primer 2.
4) After the primer has dried out mix base & hardner in a drill machine with suitable paddle attachment.
5) Apply first coat by brush or epoxy roller. Application of the second coat is advisable after over night drying of the first coat.
6) Clean the tools properly after application.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 1 & 5 Kg pack.
COVERAGE: 5 Kg pack covers about 10m2 at thickness of 500 to 600 micron depending on surface & texture.

Shelf Life

9 to12 months if stored in cool & dry condition in shaded area in factory sealed containers.

SHELF & PRECAUTIONS:

Use of hand gloves during application is advisable, general precautions for epoxy systems are to be followed.
