SOLVENTFREE THIXOTROPIC EPOXY COATING

Introduction

Safe Coat- FS is a solvent free thixotropic decorative coating based on selected epoxy resin & suitable hardner. The product is designed to give tough, hygienic & chemicals resistive coating to walls, floors for food processing areas, lab areas, dairy industries, showrooms, office floor etc. it is particularly suitable for linning of concrete of water tanks, reservoirs & potable water tanks as it is taint free. The product is supplied in two part viz; base & Hardner. It has excellent adhesion to concrete & steel surface.

APPLICABLE STANDARD: IS 9197

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
(1) Pot life at 30°C. 40-45 Minutes.
(2) Touch dry 5 to 6 hours at 30°C.
(3) Hard dry at 12 to 14 hours.
(4) Full chemical resistance- 7 days at 30°C.
(5) Tensile strength 25 Mpa
(6) Flexural Strength 39 Mpa
(7) in service -10 to 75°C.

Application Guidelines

1) The concrete surface should be 28 days old or residual moisture content below 5%.
2) The concrete surface should be sound & leveled, free from any contamination like, oil grease dust etc.
3) Any blow holes or surface endulations should be made good using Condbond Ep Paste.
4) Mix base & hardner in a separate vessel by using a electric drill with suitable paddle attachment.
5) Apply first coast by brush or roller to give continuous film. Apply second coat after 12 hours or over night.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 5 kg pack.
COVERAGE: A 5 kg pack covers approx 9 to 10m2 at dry film thickness of 450 to 600 microns.

Shelf Life

9 months when stored in sealed container in dry & shaded condition.
