WATER BASED EPOXY

Introduction

Safe Coat- WE is a high performance, water dispersible epoxy coating for the treatment of walls & floors. The product is specially designed to be environmental friendly. Containing no solvents with very low odour during application. Being water dispersible it can be applied on damp surface also. It serves as a good floor coating for food processing industries, Aries, laboratories & office floors. It has chemicals resistance also to common solvents & mild acids & alkalis. It gives easy cleanable surface on cellings & walls with a semi gloss finish.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
(1) Pot life at 30°C 45 to 60 minutes.
(2) Application temperature range 5°C to 40°C.
(3) In service -10 to 70°C.

Application Guidelines

1) Concrete surface should be minimum 28 days old prior to application of Safe Coat WE or moisture content below 5%.
2) Clean the surface properly ensuring that there is no dust, laitance, grease, oil or other contaminations.
3) Defective concrete potholes should be repaired using conbond ep paste.
4) Apply safe coat primer 2 & allow the primer to dry before application of the product.
5) Mix base & hardner in separate vessel by a mechanical means preferably with a drill with paddle attachment.
6) Apply first coat by brush or epoxy roller. Apply second coat after the first coat has dried out thoroughly. Preferably after 20 to 24 hours.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 5 Kg. A 5 kg pack consists of base & hardner.
COVERAGE: A 5 kg pack ideally covers 9 to 11 m2 at 250-300 microns thickness.

Shelf Life

The product has a shelf life of 12 months but has to been stored in cool & dry condition in factory sealed container.
