SAFECOAT - S
HIGH BUILT SOLVENTED EPOXY COATING

Introduction

Safe Coat- S is a special blend of epoxy resin & selected hardner to give strong & durable colourful coating to the concrete surface as well as steel surface. It protects the floor from oli, grease, water penetration; dust & chemicals attack. It can be applied on walls, floors, all concrete surface & steel surfaces. Very useful coating for automobile industry, dispensary's, showrooms etc.

APPLICABLE STANDARD: Compiles to IS 9197.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
(1) Pot life of 1 hour at 30°C in hour.
(2) Touch dry 7 to 10 hours depending on temperature & wind velocity.
(3) Application temperature range 5°C to 45°C.
(4) In service max 60°C.

Application Guidelines

1) Concrete surface should be minimum 28 days old before application.
2) The surface should be made free from laitance & any contaminations. All potholes, surface crack should properly repair     using CONPATCH EM or CONPASTE EP.
3) The surface should be primed with SAFECOAT PRIME 1.
4) After the primer has dried out mix base & hardner in a separate container. A drill machine with suitable padadle     attachment should effect the mixing.
5) Apply first coat by brush or epoxy roller. An application of second coat is advisable after over night drying of the first     coat.
6) Clean the tools properly after application.

Packing and Coverage

PACKING: Available in 1 Kg & 5 Kg packS inclusive of resin & hardner.
COVERAGE: A 5 kg pack ideally covers 10 to 13 M2 in two coats depending on surface & texture. Dry film thickness 250-300 microns.

Shelf Life

About 9 months in a sealed container stored in dry & shaded condition.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS :

Use of hand gloves is recommended during application. Good ventilation facilities are required for solvented coatings.
